It's really choppy and suuuuuper scribbly because I took like 30 seconds to draw each frame. Please fill in the gaps and gloss over the art with your wonderful imagination! I made it in Windows Movie Maker which is an absolutely evil program =o=

The Echo chamber dilemmaThe promise of the Internet was that unlimited information and experiences would draw us together. But instead it seems to have driven us apart.
For years I've observed this behavior but haven't been able to vocalize it correctly. Originally I called the behavior of collective opinions as "the hive mentality" of the Internet. But that wasn't exactly right and I often got called out on it. The most prominent example was when I made a comic about a guy disagreeing with opinions and being shouted at till he remained quiet, eventually fading into the background with everyone else. The consensus of that comic was that if you disagree with someone you aren't bullied into not speaking, but instead are free to go someplace else where people who do agree with you exist. And you know what? That wasn't what i was trying to convey, but is sadly true. The Internet is not a hive mind. It's many tiny pocket echo chambers of mutual agreements.

Failed a class. It cost me the ALT job in Japan. So I have one last semester before I graduate and I'm not going anywhere. Ever. Hooray. B|
Bright side is I have a month off finally, which I hadn't had for a year. And no holidays, no conventions, nothing, looming over my head for the entirety, except the shit I need to get done that had to take a back seat to school.

I'm sorry to hear about that! Hopefully another great opportunity comes along though. That's usually my experience. I flunked out of college (yay anxiety and ADHD!) and I felt like the biggest piece of crap ever but I've been pursuing a higher level of proficiency in grooming. It's not what I planned to do but it's not bad and I do love it so... Lemons, lemonade I guess!
